your moments are my life

Welcome to a.photographer, where my motto is…”Orange you glad it’s Friday?” Yes, even on a Monday. Because life should be like one big Friday, if you ask me.

If there’s one thing we all keep saying the older we get it’s, “Time goes so fast. I don’t know what happened to the last week/month/year,” or one of my favorite client quotes, “The days are long but the years are short.” The special moments seem more fleeting the more life goes on.

But that’s why I love photography. I get to be a ninja, capturing the moments before they have a chance to slip away, so you always have them.

My mission is to create something that fills you with warm fuzzies every time you look at it, no matter how much time has passed.

so who the heck am I, anyway?

Hi, there! Amanda here, your friendly neighborhood moment-capturing ninja based out of Cologne, MN, located in the heart of Carver County.

I’m a Midwestern girl through and through, and I believe photos are the closest thing we get in life to a pause button.

Whether you’re getting engaged, married, starting or growing a family, or looking for some quality pics with your pup, I’m the girl who captures those moments exactly as they are.

Photography isn’t about a specific pose or a stuffy setting. You will not find cheesy props and watercolor backgrounds in my repertoire.

When we book a shoot together, you’re booking more than a photographer. You’re booking a fun photographer (just ask my past clients). A soon-to-be friend committed to bringing out the best pieces of your story in that moment. The smiles, the laughs, the silly looks, and the sweet exchange, I’m all about that. Sure, we’ll strike some poses and you’ll “work it” for the camera, but it’s almost always the candid photos I take while we’re chatting, joking around, and talking about why you booked the session that become the favorites.

If I’m not cementing memories in time through photoshoots or curled up at my awesome orange craigslist find of a desk editing the moments we captured, you’ll catch me  going to yoga, visiting local breweries and wineries and shopping for great vintage finds.

Or I might be hanging out with my fur babies/co-workers, Penny (my trusty canine companion whose legs are longer than life itself) and Gypsy (my slightly less trusty but still totally adorable feline sidekick), or driving around town in my orange Volkswagen Beetle.

Ready to capture your story? Let’s chat.
