|Proposal stories: Alex & Emily
|I met this fun couple through friends of friends last year at Winstock Country Music Festival. I was impressed at Emily cleaning up the campground and she was excited when I brewed coffee for her (trust me I never travel far without my orange coffee maker and my Starbucks beans!). Soon after that fun weekend, we met up to chat engagement and wedding photography. Check out more of their engagement session here. I am so excited for their wedding in September!
|In Emily's words:
I was at work on a Friday when I received a text from Alex asking when I would be home later. I thought it was a little out of the ordinary for him, but I told him I'd be home around 5. He responded with "Great, I'm making dinner." I was excited to get home and have dinner waiting for me when I got there! When I walk in the door, I see the dining room table all set up with candles lit and D'Vinci's takeout on the counter. (I worked there in high school so it holds a special place in my heart). When I saw the table all set up, my first thought was "Oh crap, did I forget an anniversary of some sort?" When you've been dating for over 7 years, you are bound to forget some special moment here and there... Then, Stevie, our 6-month old puppy, came up to greet me, with Alex not far behind her. I bent over to pet her and noticed a pink bow on her neck and then I saw a ring tied onto the bow. I looked up at Alex and hesitantly asked, "What's that?" and he smiles and says, "What do you think it is?" and he knelt on the ground next to me and asked me to marry him! I was completely taken off guard and could not believe that we were actually engaged! It was definitely a day to remember.
