|Charlie & Jessica tied the knot on a steamy June day. We started off at the Lumber Exchange in downtown Minneapolis, where the ladies were getting their hair and makeup done, while the guys got into their stunning navy suits. I loved all of the bride's blingy details - from her sparkly heels to her show-stopping dress! The groom even had some impressive details for the day - a custom tailored suit complete with his name inside the jacket, along with rocking his dad's own wedding cufflinks. Once everyone was done up to the nine's it was time for the first look on the marble staircase of this historic Minneapolis building. Charlie & Jessica were so excited to see each other and spend the day together! After taking advantage of the white marble entryway for some portraits, the wedding party hopped on a trolley bus to head to the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum for some more photo ops, just as the rain lightened up. The greenery made the photos really pop! I loved the richness of the bridesmaids' sparkly dresses with the groomsmen crisp blue suits. And not to mention the bride's bouquet - have you ever seen a flower arrangement like that? We snuck in some family portraits before heading off to the church for the ceremony.
At Mount Calvary Lutheran Church in Excelsior, the same pastor officiated the service that had also married the bride's parents, which I thought was so special. After the heartfelt ceremony, including a beautiful solo by Jessica's sister-in-law, also named Jessica, the bride and groom left to the cheers of their guest under a sparkling of bubbles. The wedding party made a pit stop at Maynards, a favorite hangout on Lake Minnetonka, before taking the trolley back downtown for the reception. The Lumber Exchange was decorated with some incredible flower centerpieces along with a delectable dessert bar, featuring my favorite: DONUTS! Following a yummy dinner, the speeches had everyone rolling in laughter. Then it was time to dance the night away. Congratulations, Mr. & Mrs. Ripley!
